BBS wheels for gt40

Hi guys,
I am buying a very nice wheel for my bmw (convertible e36).
The guy selling me the rims left his previous tyres mounted on (he has an m3 e30....in a parallel life I am a bimmer..I admit..:lipsrsealed:)

The rims are 8x17 and have 235/45/17 still usable.

Just curious if these measures are suitable as shoes for a gt40 (always looking for more money in my future)

The wheel is an original BBS scomponibile. No chinese bs...not on my bmw ;)
Does anybody use this kinda rims on a gt40?...I remember someone did, maybe in south africa? (I remember a wonderful white one...in a sunny day)

I think you will have a tough time on a 40. I think the offset isn't right for even the fronts. What is the bolt pattern and spacing? You can, get the BBS wheels with different offsets/back spacing. I had a set on the rears of my Lotus Turbo Esprit that had 295s on it

I am looking to build a kit car 40 and am limited on my budget. Is there a magazine that shows step by step on building one.

Paulo, If you look up Lynn Larsen's profile on the Members list ( llarsen) his blue car runs similar pattern rims, one of the few 'modern' wheel styles that actually suits the GT40 if I was to venture an opinion..

exactly..Andy, u are right. That was the car I remember ( :D I dunno how many times I looked the pics in that gallery, surely a lot...LOL)
Tomorrow the guy will give me the wheels...suspect I will have a seriously jerking night here, and will look also at the numbers inside the rims.
For sure they fit e36 bmw, also nearly surely I should cut the wheel arch,at least a little, inside.

for me these wheels are too nice :)

..and in Lynn color it is my dream car (cause for me the gt40 is strictly blue with white stripes...)

damn..ET20 in the wheel means that comes too much outside the body.
Maximum et allowed over e36 cars is et34..I am twice such number.
LOL my car now seems as a farmer tractor.

Discovered over my skin, more low is ET number more outside comes the wheel...
