Just want to let everyone know that there will be a 50th Anniversary Celebration/Reunion of the 289 HiPo at the Carlisle Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA, this year, June 7-9. All vehicles originally powered by the 289 HiPo are invited. Carlisle would like to have a 289 HiPo powered GT40 displayed at the event. Does anyone know of someone who might be able to attend with their GT40? You would be among Cobras, Fairlanes, Comets, Griffiths, Mustangs, as well as others originally powered by this legendary engine. Let me know if you can come.
