Hi Ron, the mirrors are Mazda MX5's.

Is that the new or the old MX5?

Think the 2007/8 model. On the new model the mirrors looks a big more angular.

Didn't even realise but they've 'facelifted' it from 2009. So they're from the 'early' new version then!

I'll add them to my big list of mirror prospects, they look good on it.

Your attention to detail on this car is phenomenal! I have a CAV #176 on order right now, it’s a full roller expecting Jan/Feb. How did you mount the windows and headlight covers? Looks like you painted a black trim (what kind of paint?) and used some kind of double sided tape??? How did you emboss the CAV GT on the heat shield?? This is great stuff the details are what makes this car special.

Hi Alan. I really tried to put some extra effort into the car. The side windows are all 6 mm aircraft acrylic windows that were routered and bonded. The same was done with the headlamp covers but that stayed 3mm. The embossing was done by putting cork sheeting under the heatshield. I did a lot more details and will post them. The black is Sikaflex primer.
