Hoping there is a chassis sleuth on the forum. I rescued this piece out of the scrap pile, that was the from the Mecum racing junk from long ago. To me it appears to bee the chassis cross brace from a mid engine racer. It is gas welded, brass or bronze looking filler rod. Can anyone help

I'm going to say it is some formula style single seater car. it is not symmetrical as it needs to allow space to a rod change to get through the rear hose shoe onto a Hewland/VW style gear box. The single off set pair of tabs would face forward and run up the side of the air box onto the single roll hoop over the driver.
Maybe a RALT formula ford?

It just seems wide for a formula Ford, but I will start looking that direction. Thought it might be a sports racer with the width.
