CNC Performance Parts Quaife Shift

Howdy Yall,

Just wanted to post pictures of this CNC Performance Parts Quaife shifter I installed last night. Me and several others had asked for a version of this assembly that they offer for the ZF. The unit is very well built, compact and easy to install. I'm very glad to have a better solution with greater adjustability than what is currently on the market.

I don't think you will be disappointed with that product. I recently installed both the CNC Adapter & Shifter on my ZF. Really nice stuff! Also got new cables from www.controlcables.com. All in all, fairly expensive, but a significant difference in how much easier the car shifts. Wife agrees. However, please note that, with this combination, there was a minor change to the shift pattern from the RCR package.

Before installing my transaxle, I connected the shifter that came from RCR, for testing purposes. It worked fine. But I decided I wanted something more precise. Driver controls are crucial to the driving experience! The main issue I see with the original shifter is the way the rail shift cable and the gear shift cable both attach to fixed points on the shift rod mechanism on the gearbox. As a result, the position of one affects the geometry of the other.

CNC Performance Parts offers both a shifter and a ZF transaxle adapter of very high quality. The gear shift mechanism geometry remains...

Pat,
I used the same cables that bryant used. Just make sure of the length you need as your shifter location may not be the same front to rear as ours.

1st & reverse are opposite what they were with the RCR setup. Normal 2-3-4-5 'H' pattern afterwards.
