In my experience, as good as we yanks are at building boats and ships, for the most part of the 20th century, every major innovation in naval history was from the Brits. There has been and still are some great naval engineers on the Island Continent.

Ah yes, Gar Wood. A buddy of mine built a replica of Miss America X. Four Packard V12s. It's quite a show when it runs... We need to bring back the Goldcup and go back to mahogany stepped hulls and aircraft engines!
