Dudes - you are the best. Bugatti Veyron is correct. I posted it because I was struck that even over 40 years apart, how similar in appearance mid engine monocoque cars can be if you look at a 40 from the same angle. The colour of the spider was a bonus for added confusion!
Now, how does this trans relate to the motive powering of the wheels. Is it a hydraulic pump for a fluid drive?
Not sure I'm answering what you're asking and I am certainly no expert on Veyrons but I think there is a Haldex system in between the gearbox and the diff's. Not sure of the details.
I think the bit you see in the pic' is the actual gearbox, it sits in front of the engine AFAIK.
Unless you're just trying to confuse those who don't know the car is AWD and/or that the engine/box sit the other way round to a GT
I guess they are cool in their own way but apart from the opinion I expressed earlier I also don't like the way they seem to have been designed from a dyno' sheet up.
I prefer something that's designed to fit a REAL real world purpose - numbers game dyno' jockeys don't impress me. Seems a bit dumb to be honest.
I confess though that in some ways I'm glad they made it. Someone has to build something a bit nuts occasionally otherwise nothing interesting happens.
The world is a better place for eccentricity.
