crankcase pressure

Hello everyone,

Any suggestions on getting some crankcase vaccume on a KC 427? Right now it is pushing a bit of oil out the dipstick at upper rpm. Currently there is a catch can set up off of the valve covers but it 's not working.

Is this an FE 427 or a stroked & bored 351W with the original dipstick still in RF corner of the timing cover..... if so these are prone to having oil from front of crank & timing chain literally fired straight up the dip stick tube which gives the appearance of engine breathing issues, but is not, rather a baffle problem... regardless of dip stick position you need to bear this in mind especially with any longer stroke crank assy..
