Maybe there is a better alternative, but ive done some research and found what I think may be a great Trans-Axle.
I have measurements from an email a "Rick" gave me.
These are for their Type-4 Transaxle.
-Beginning of measurements
From the back of the engine block to the rear axle centerline - 10"
From the back of the engine block to the back of the Mendeola - 30"
From the axle centerline to the top, near the front - 6"
From the axle centerline to the bottom (in the front of the 'bell housing' area) - 10"
From the axle centerline to the bottom of the trans - (behind the bell housing area) - 5"
The transaxle width - (at the axle centerline) - 9-1/2"
The Black trans-axle is a stock c4/c5 transaxle, (im not entierly sure). The Silver trans-axle is the Type 4 from Dobbertin.
