After weeks of not hearing from Virginia DMV (after they initially said my SPF GT40 could not be titled as a replica nor registered with plates for driving on the road because the title & branding office in Richmond deemed it a “race car”), they called and informed I needed to provide proof of a valid state inspection for my replica application to proceed. I argued that’s not part of the documented process on their website, but they said to go get it first anyway and send them proof to proceed any further.
Okie dokie. Having successfully wired in the rear license plate light and recently taken delivery of a new Futura Pro Sport trailer, I hauled P2511 to my friendly Ford dealership for state inspection. A pile of employees enjoyed the visit and I enjoyed show & tell.
State inspection done and proof sent to the DMV, so now we wait some more.
