door post top mirrors

I don't know about the fender mount mirror. Fran would/could answer that one. I got some mirrors from Speedway to mount on my Lola that fit and looked great. But you'd have to set one of those on the car and see what you thought. HRP has several mirrors that would work well.

New door top mirrors being readied for production.....they will be cast resin similar to the ones we supply now with the SL-C...
They will also have an integrated high level LED turn signal/running light.

Interesting. Do you have any pictures of this new implementation? I remember one from some time ago. . . may have changed since then. . . but can't find it now.

Fran called them "hippo ears". I did see the clay mold of them and they look pretty good. Much better than what is on the Ultima.

I was curious what hippo ears looked like

No....its my idea for "looking back"....

They actually look really good in the flesh, the lens on the camera changes the perspective...similar to how the SL-C looks much different in the flesh too.

Is this your idea of payback?
Not at all, perhaps it is just a byproduct though ;)

Personally, I like them better than what was supplied originally and will in all likelihood order some when the time comes.

Fran, I assume these will need that additional corner section of the window frame?

Damn, those really do look like hippo ears. . . . . . I mean that in the most positive way possible of course.

Dave, yes to your question. Fran is leaving that area of the window cutout now, unless otherwise requested (unless I have this backward). Chime in Fran!

I will use these as well when available. Means replacing some fiberglass though for me.
No biggie...

Just a few photos for future inspiration Fran:

Interesting concept of having cameras in lieu of reflective mirrors.

Ben,

Already checked into it....I was told its not actually legal ..yet...especially overseas...

Loss of electrical power means loss of sight...not a good thing.

Interesting, and I hadn't thought of power issues! The mirrors are on a Lotus Evora from overseas. Must have been something for a photo shoot.
