Email Problems

Hi Robert,

The ISP who provides your email services (hotkey.net.au) seems to be using a "SPAM Filter" listing supplied by spews.org. This provides a listing of IP addresses which they have found to have been the source of SPAM. Unfortunately, Ozemail's server has got onto this list, so you won't get any mail from Ozemail users (2nd largest ISP in Oz). I have informed Ozemail of the problem, & it may help if you contact Hotkey.

In the meantime, the test of my emails to you are reproduced below :

Hi Robert,

New discovery - I actually have '87 'Vette brakes on the front & '88 'Vette
brakes on the back. In '88 they changed from the old internal "mini-drum"
handbrake setup to one which actuates the normal pads.

The 5-stud patterns are still the same, front & back.

Any luck in finding a spare fake knock-off for me to do a final check of the
stud pattern ?

Also, can you give me a rough estimate on the lead-time for delivery of the
8-throttle body injection system, manifold & MoTec kit. I expect to have the
engine out in a few weeks, so I think that this would be the best time to start
fitting this gear. At this stage, I intend to just leave the rest of the engine
stock for initial rego - Al heads & maybe a cam change later - do you think that
this approach is ok ?

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

Subject: Wheels / Tyres

Hi Robert,

It was great to catch up last weekend - a pity that Sydney turned on such sh*t
weather for just one day in months of drought weather !!

As mentioned, I need to buy the final wheels / tyres. I know that I have '87
Corvette hubs / rotors / calipers all round, but all that PR can tell me is that
"he thinks that they match the standard Commorore 5-stud pattern", but was
unsure about the centre spigot diameter. I have measured the distance between
studs as 71mm, but as you suggested, perhaps the best way to confirm this is to
test fit one of your 3-eared "knock off" spinners for your bolt-on Halibrand
wheels.

Over time, I have got someinfo from PR - he seems to prefer 17"
wheels these days, but I would prefer to go with 16". The one constant has been
the off-sets - regardless of size, he recommends :

- Front : 130mm from wheel centre inner surface to inner rim
- Rear : 140mm from wheel centre inner surface to inner rim

Would you be able to supply 16" Halibrand bolt-ons with these off-sets (polished
rims & centres) ? If so, can you give me a rough price ? I have checked out
your web-site gallery, & can't find anything like these- could you please send
me a pic of the 16" Halibrand bolt-ons ?

For 16" wheels, Peter has suggested :

- Front : 8" rim / 225-50 VR16
- Rear : 10" rim / 255-50 VR16

For 17" wheels, he has suggested :

- Front : 8" rim / 225-50 VR17
- Rear : 10-12" rim / 255 to 295 ! -50 VR17

I would appreciate any thoughts that you may have on the tyres. I seem to
recollect that you normally use 205's on the front - perhaps the DRB's have a
little more lock-clearance which allows the wider tyres ??

Kind Regards,

Peter Delaney.

Hi Robert,

I recently sent you about 3 emails. Have you received any of them? I suspect my ISP might be on that list as well.

Thanks
Gus

Hi Robert,

I am having no luck in trying to send you emails. Is there another email address I can contact you on?

Thanks,
Gus

Are you guys getting your emails bounced back or are you not getting a reply? Robert is obviously a busy guy and when I send him an email I don't expect a response for a few days, but if it's urgent I'll pick up the phone.

That said, Gordon, I emailed you and Robert about 16" wheels a while ago with no response. Did you get my email?

I have no problem e-mailing Robert. I do know he is out this week. It might be a server problem, I am not a computer wizz, just an opinion. Also if you forget to put the .au at the end it won't go through. I have done that a few times.
Mark, No I didn't recieve an e-mail about wheels. Please send it again and I will be happy to answer.
