Remember that this is an estimate to build. each configuration is different so don't short change yourself on the build. By planning the estimate conservatively, meaning high. you won't run out of money when something unexpected comes along. Your buying decision I'm sure has to include other parties involved (wife) and if you are short on funds to finish (sometimes that can be a lot) you will be looking at separating from those other parties involved. It is better to sell the deal to you and your more sensible side with some fluff factor to pay for the coating on the headers you forgot to include or the titanium hardware you have to have.

It's going to cost the same as new Corvette. Standard or ZO6. You decide. Really I have a "budget" of about 70K for mine. How does "about" pertain to a "budget" ? Build a hot rod and find out.

Redsnake, I'd hoped to hold my build under the $70k mark. That looks like it will creep to $75k mostly becuase i changed the transaxel to the Ricardo. I've got around $12k in that with clutch. I bet you could cut that line item in half with a good refurbed tranny...
