Ferrari GTO in italy

Paolo, for less than 1M euros it's definitely not an original. Original GTOs are more in the $5M - $10M range (higher with pedigree, less w/o). This car may be a very nice recreation using some amount of original parts - that would be my guess. Like the original gt40s, the original GTOs are all accounted for and in known hands - they don't trade hands in public forums typically.

The car certainly looks beautiful however!

aha..so should be a replica (1 milion euro for such..is anyway a strange price I think:confused: ).According to what I know (few honestly about the gto) there are about 30 cars around the world, and that is one of the most expensive one.

Interesting anyway....never know in Italy someone makes replicas (probably very nice, looking at the pictures) of this car.

Paolo

P.s...that is also named as gtE (Ferrari gte angepasst GTO - EUR 979.225 ), can be a 250 gte converted in body to look like a gto?...the original gte seems really different

It is a converted 250 GTE, that what is says in the ad.
250 GTEs were often taken as a base for GTO recreations.
Shame for the original 250 GTE, though. It`s a beautiful car with not too many left not least because of such things.

Completely agree with u Marcus, is a real shame to kill that way a GTE (can be they use that ferrari cause wheel distances and maybe general chassis similitudes?).
Can be anyway the car was wrecked or damaged and so they decided to "convert" it,claiming anyway a real ferrari chassis number-and is a fraud-

Such bodywork is anyway very nice (will be cool to know if alu or fiberglass),almost surely the engine power difference will be another world, as well for the general car setup.
...and really doubt 1 milion euro on such works can be a good investiment...

Just remeber the GTE was absolutely not a racing ferrari, and was so humiliating to see one in Misano historic classic loose SO BADLY...versus a Mini Cooper ..ihihihih...:)
