Ford GT transaxle info

I have some onformation to pass on regarding the Ford GT transaxle.

<ul type="square">[*]Bellhousing is integral for 5.4 only; not modular (like a ZF or a T56 , for example).

[*] Gear ratios: 1st-2.6, 2nd-1.71, 3rd-1.23, 4th-0.94, 5th-0.77, 6th-0.63, R-3.135, final drive-3.36

[*] Gear-driven torque-biasing limited slip differential (Torsen-like, but not Torsen brand).

[*] Ricardo told Ford it was good for up to ~750 hp in the Ford GT /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

[*] Weight: 300 lb +/- 30 lb. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gifI'll have precise weight next week.

[*] Housing akin to an F3000 car but upsized.

[*] I'll have dimensions next week (input shaft to half-shaft CL)

[*] Cost from a Ford dealer guestimated to be between $12,000 and $17,000, but that's just a guess.

Thats got to be including flywheel, bellhousing, clutch, and maybe even halfshafts and CV joints. This is a 100 pounds more than a ZF! wow!

Some more information regarding dimensions:

length = ~ 650 mm (excluding input shaft
height = ~ 375 mm (excluding trans mount)
width = ~ 380 mm at half shafts (bellhousing is obviously wider)
