FS G5052 w/lsd 30k miles

I have a G5052 that I have been saving for a GT40 build that I am going to sell. I bought the trans from a reputable Porsche speed shop on the east coast with 30kmiles on it. It was fully tested before removal. It is completely stock except I had the nose cone machined to the pre 1989 type to shorten the overall length. It is clean and rust/corrosion free. I will post pictures later next week. It has the speedo sender, clutch slave and reverse sender attached, no clutch,no starter,no flywheel, no clutch release arm or bearing.

I am posting here first then will list on e-bay. Powerhouse II likes to charge $5k for a core G5052 that they will then rebuild. My trans is ready to be installed with the lsd and gearing you will want to add to most other G50's.

You can call me @ 630-327-8882 and make an offer. I will give it a week or so and then probably list it in Flea-Bay.

If you PM or e-mail me be patient as I will have limited computer access for a few weeks.

To answer some questions I have received;

Gearing is 3.154, 1.789, 1.269, .0967, .756 3.44r&p
With a 26" tall tire and a 6500rpm shift point you will do the following;

Top Gear gives 29.818 MPH/1000 RPM and a top speed of 193.820 MPH at 6500 RPM

Engine speeds in top gear:-
30 MPH = 1006 RPM 40 MPH = 1341 RPM 50 MPH = 1677 RPM 60 MPH = 2012 RPM
70 MPH = 2348 RPM 80 MPH = 2683 RPM 90 MPH = 3018 RPM 100 MPH = 3354 RPM

Top Speed in 1 gear = 46.458 MPH
And changes into 2 gear at 3687 RPM dropping 2813 RPM
Top Speed in 2 gear = 81.905 MPH
And changes into 3 gear at 4611 RPM dropping 1889 RPM
Top Speed in 3 gear = 115.467 MPH
And changes into 4 gear at 495 RPM dropping 6005 RPM
Top Speed in 4 gear = 1515.284 MPH
And changes into 5 gear at 50817 RPM dropping -44317 RPM
Top Speed in 5 gear = 193.820 MPH

I am looking for $5000 usd plus shipping or best offer.

Andy - I think you need to check your math for the last couple calculations:

The data for 4th and 5th gear looks a little out of whack. That, or you absolutely have the gearing to make the fastest GT40 out there! 4th gear is a monster starting out at 495 rpm and eventually topping out at 1515 mph! I'm afraid the sonic-booms will probably attract unwanted attention.

Interesting observation.........That is what Quaifes speedcalc puked out. I just copy/pasted. The speeds are correct for a 6500rpm shift point.

It was a glitch in the 4th gear, the entry in the above post was ".0967" but I'll bet it was supposed to be .967
