Gear Shifter

I have a cable shifter on my GTD (SBF 302 \ Uni1). Im not happy with the "feel" or quality from this, can anybody let me know where I can locate a rod shifter? also is it possible to reverse the shift pattern? I would much prefer 1st to be away from me .

It was his rod change that was fitted to the GTD I used to own. Worked like a charm.
