GTD removable door tops

I've heard of several GT40 replicas with this option, and I know there is a manufacturer that may supply this as an option, but has anyone cnverted their doors so the top sections are removable?

Just trying to make the car more acceptable to the wife who doesn't like the "closed in" feeling. She's nagging me to sell up and buy a Cobra!:furious:

My understanding is that it can be retro fitted!? to your car - not just a manufacturing option. At least I was quoted some time ago that I could have mine done, because I was considering having two drivers door tops - one "as is" and one with a Gurney bubble for use with a helmet.
