Mike Keller from Ohio here.
The basics. My GT40 will be the second kit car I have built with my father (he is 68, and I am 37) and we are really getting excited at this point. Our first car was a 427 Cobra replica with a 460 (.030 over to 468 ci) and was a BLAST to build and own.
This is our attempt to share another build together while we likely can and he has the energy.
We will be building a little more of a practical car with a planned Ford MS 302 Jegs motor, porsche trans, and corvette suspension and brakes all around. We want to focus on doing things just so, and remembering ALL the little details we have discussed/decided on so far.
That is the basics I guess. I have ridden in one GT40 (Hershal Byrds - Thanks Hershal!) and can't wait to start, enjoy, and finish this project. We live in Central Ohio and will be ordering a kit as soon as we sell the Cobra which will be listed in various places starting in a few weeks after we touch up a few details we want right before we sell it.
