Help with new GT Transaxle.

I'm looking at starting a Roaring Forties rep later this year and i'm looking at the different options available to me.
They offer a choice of 5 or 6 speed Audi boxes with the gearshift in the right sill, but i was wondering if i couldn't use the Transaxle from the new GT?
I will be using a modular 5.4L which means the Transaxle should just bolt straight on.
But since i'm not very familiar with Transaxle design and the specifics on how they work i need to know if the new GT transaxle has all the appropriate parts on the same side as the Audi for this to happen?

Scott, welcome to the forum. Best place to get your answer is from the manufacturer of the car you intend to purchase. I believe the GT trans will be too long for the car, but again check with RF. Someone posted on the forum that they are building an RCR with a GT trans, however the powerplant was a Chevy engine. If you must have the GT trans, perhaps a Chevrolet engine is an option. Don't forget to see if they can supply an exhaust for whatever combo you go with. Custom setup is $$$$. Good luck.
