Hi I’m looking for the dimensions of the hubs.

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. As you can see in the photo below, my project is progressing. However, I’m desperately trying to find the dimensions of the rear wheel hubs, and I have absolutely no information about them. My chassis is a GTD chassis built from the official plans. Would anyone happen to have any information regarding the dimensions/specifications of the rear hubs?

I’m looking for the dimensions of the part shown in the photo below — the two control arms together with the hubs. I don’t know the dimensions of the control arms. Thank you.

Those rear uprights look similar to ones I purchased a few years ago. Do you know the wheel bearing size?

Hi Maxime,
Those uprights in the pic are not the usual GTD rear uprights. The GTD uprights are fabricated from sheet steel and carry Ford Granada MK3 hubs.
Cheers

Yes, the ones in the photo are cast aluminum; do you know the wheel bearing size? .

I don't know which alloy uprights they are - maybe SGT , MDA etc. I only have the dimensions for the Granada MK3 hubs.
Cheers

OK, I asked because if those uprights were from a GTD car, they take a large Timken tapered roller bearing that is expensive and hard to find. I have a new one.

Hi to you all,

The uprights look very similar to the ones supplied by Ian Clark of CAV Motorsport. Don't know whether he still supplies them.

Hi Max,

The photo ( circa 2006) shows the fabricated steel upright part of the Four Corner Upgrade Kit produced by CAV Canada Motorsports to handle more power, bigger brakes and stickier tires.

They fit the first generation CAV GT (up to s/n 100) and retained the original brake calipers and rotors, stub axles, bearings coilovers and shocks. New rear lower control arms were included in the kit as well.

These parts are still in production, made to order as no two cars or owner requirements are the same. Please PM me for more information

Cheers
Ian
