LED Car Dome Light Delay Module

The circuit board s not potted (encased in epoxy or the type for vibration protection). I would absolutely use a separate fuse just for this device. If it shorts from pieces floating around from vibrating off, then it is the only circuit affected.

That is my only pet peeve with home made electronics used in auto industry. Using them is race cars amplify the issue.

Other than that a good idea for a product.
 
I picked one of these up and it looks to be solid. The nice thing that I found is that if I put it on a power circuit that powers on when security turns off the interior lights will come on and remain for a set time (~10-15 sec) then dim if the door is not opened. I will also be adding a switch which will allow turning on interior map lights without having to deal with the delay.
