Mark I for Sale

Yes, I was offerd that that car too though after much research and further investigation i found out that the discarded tub 'changed hands' in period with a fair dollop of deception...

My feelings was that there was a big issue on getting title and in due course race papers. That and the fact it was being offered at what i thought was considerably over market value for a total restoration project convinced me it was to be avoided.

If you can get some hard nosed mercenaries together, there are supposed to be 2 original 40's and several other 60's vintage Ferrari's and Lola's, Maserati's, in a dock side warehouse in Luanda, Angola. ' Imprisoned ' before the civil war.
Maybe off topic, but just a thought.

Andy:

Maybe a stupid question, but who would hold ownership rights to those
warehouse cars if they were removed to another country? Thanks!

I guess those with the biggest guns, in this case !
Apparently , there are like 20 to 30 cars from that era, in the warehouse.
Seems Angola had a racetrack on the southern african circuit. Others will know more.
