MDA GT40

From what I gather, from MDA, it appears as if SVA is getting more difficult to pass year in year out. However, as Dave mentioned its all about sefety - which is great, but bloody annoying when you want your car on the road ASAP.

I'm hoping mine will go through on the 2nd pass, Mark at MDA is a real expert in this area - you might even be able to call him the SVA "guru". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The MDA is on track for a showing at the GTD40 club day on 18th August.

Hi Pete & Dave,
Sorry for the delayed response. I was out of town without my computer.
Pete, thanks for the wine tip. I am already an avid consumer of Bundaberg Rum. Two Australian friends came here to visit last year and they brought me a bottle of Bundaberg. This is truly a great rum. My usual Rum is Myerss' Rum. But now I'm likin' this Ozzie stuff much better. It sure has a unique flavor that I like.
Dave, thanks for the explaination. I didn't think it was any more of a problem than some of our state rules.

Forgive me for sounding out here, but what the bloody hell has wine & rum etc. got to do with GT40's. If someone is looking for detailed info. about a particular product or brand it makes it quite time consuming for them when they have to trawl through your personal chit chat !! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Actually, this thread is in the wrong place. Lynn, you might want to move it to another forum. Consumer Watch is for "beware" info for consumers. This might should be moved to All GT40. It cannot go in Manufacturer's Announcements, although that is the flavor, because it is from a private consumer.

Threads go off topic all the time and in some instances I've almost given up on trying to keep them straight.

I see this post has been moved. Unfortunately the MDA will not be at Goodwood on the 18th. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

However, it will be at the Brighton speed trials. This car has now been fitted with race Ohlins shocks with remote reservoirs - the real deal! www.ohlins.com

Sorry to hear it won't be Goodwood JP, I was looking forward to seeing it - it sounds like some motor! Still I might not make it myself.

Regards
David
