What a shock !!! Saturday 2-28-04, I seen my first Ford GT on the road !!! I live in the middle of nowhere, with the closest town having 600 people. I was heading to Greenville Mich, ( the official NAFTA poster town ) which has abot 8,000 people in it. After an occasional glance in my mirror, I noticed a car maybe a half mile back. The next time I looked in my mirror I had the plesant surprise to see a new black and silver GT. I was in no particular hurry, and was following about eight cars putting at 55 mph. I looked to my left, and was watching the beautiful GT going by. It did not have a dealer plate on it however. It was a Michigan plate __M826 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. I was even more shocked after I got the license number, to see a kid about 16-18 years old chasing the GT in a old beatup Olds Calais!! By now the GT had passed three of the cars in front of me, and casually pulled in. Much to the shocked surprise of the punk in the beater, he was looking a car head on. The punk, hooked a hard right to pull in, in front of me, and spiked his brakes. Well the left front brake locked up, and with him steering hard right he darn near rolled it. Luck was with him, and he just missed us and stuffed it in the ditch. Luck was on his side, as there were no trees where he went in, only snow. I left the little SOB in there and tried to find the GT. I had no luck in finding it, but may have a lead to follow up on. A friend, that I work with has a brother in Detroit, that owns a LARGE Ford dealership. He had promised my buddy, that when his GT came in, he would come up and give him a ride in it. I confirmed to him, that he was my very BEST friend, and that I should also be included in the test drive. So, If that was him, I'm looking for a new best friend. If not, I'll get pictures when and if it happens. As for the punk in the ditch, he could have killed a lot of innocent people, trying to impress the young lady with him. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif
