it must get the speed from the GPS. this would be cool if your using the Digit dash as you could leave it in Tach mode and use this as your Speedo.

According to their website, it plugs into the aux port on the stereo, and uses a connection to a smartphone for the gps.

I'm using my iPhone connected to an amp via a bluetooth transmitter for my stereo, so for my setup, I'd just replace the bluetooth transmitter with the Nardy HUD.
