New video from Stacey David on building the SLC!

Thank you Will, for that link, that was great. I noticed there was a Alum plate on the center truss that will be used to mount the shifter, mine never came with one is it something Stacey added ? it looked factory.
Hope they film the entire build like this, it would help out a ton. Just those few seconds of footage changed the entire way I was going to approach this project.
Cheers,
Grant

It is nice having the shifter angled back at you. A piece of 3" x 3" Al angle works too.
Hey, was that Stacy down in the foot box or a stunt double?

Just curious - does the angled piece replicate the angled chassis member that was on the older style chassis (like mine)? Or is it in addition to the angled chassis member to provide a less radical angle? Obviously, I haven't gotten this far yet..........

Thanks,
Dave L

Dave, nope.
The later chassis have a more vertical angle and this is a builder's addition. I have the "old" style angled piece and fabbed a plate to get a little more angle for the shifter box between the angled piece and the center tube. If mounted to the angled piece, you are very close to the dash if not hitting it while going through the gears. This additional piece sort of splits the difference between the flat of the center tube and the angled piece. Hope you can understand all that. Works good. A little modification to the console FRP part is needed too. Pop me an e-mail and I'll send you a photo.
