Newbie, I\'d like to introduce myself...

First thing that ever got me interested in cars was watching the movie LeMans as a kid...grew up dreaming about Ferraris and Porsches, ended up racing karts, then going on to work for Jim Russell and getting into some Formula Atlantic before running out of money...insert a career in Graphic Design and then getting back into amateur racing on the west coast in an endurance series...driving a Porsche 996 and then...

run into the first guy I worked for restoring exotic cars (hadn't seen him in years) and he invited me to check out his shop and there was a Weyer GT40 road car. Well, the GT40 was always one of my favorites (swoopy 60's endurance racer) and though I was initially excited by the prospect of a new factory one, the low production numbers, high prices and the idea of going into a Ford dealer for service on a $150k car blah blah blah.

Did research on an ERA but dont really have that much time and am now looking into all that I need to know about a CAV. Probably have to wait a couple of years but I want to do the research.

Looks like a good forum.
