Newbie Question

I plan on purchasing a GT40 kit earky next year, and have been reading as much as I can from everyone's threads, especially the Builder's Forum. I notice the panels get bonded and riveted to the outside of the frame in the from. Do panels also get bonded and riveted to the inside to make a nice clean flat surface for the carpet?

Thanks

Bill it's so clean and flat of a surface that I did my own
interior work. I made templates then cut my carpet and pad from them.

It depends on the kit you are considering buying. The GTD kit came with a glass fibre central 'tub' which also covered the top of the sills. The Tornado does not and the one I have worked had thick sound proofing stuck into the recesses between the tubes in the footwell with carpet stuck over the top. I don't know how the other manufacturers treat this area.

Brian.
