Now here\'s what I call good power to weight ratio !

If I were to campane a race car in scca, this would be my choice.
I think you could even set this car up for the street. To me it looks better than an Ultima. I love the simplicity in the design and the price ain't bad either. http://www.diasio.com/

Hersh,

I'm assuming the engine of this car is from
a Yamaha motorcycle, and thus too, the gearbox. The description of the drivetrain is pretty vague, other than the sequential shifter, which also suggests a motorcycle
gearbox. One question...What about reverse?????
Has Yamaha come up with an engine minus gearbox?...Or a gearbox with reverse?
Whatever the case, it's a neat little car!
Your next toy, maybe?

Bill,
Yes it is a Yamaha engine. It's the same
kind of set up the Legend cars have. They also use the motorcycle engine concept. Here at Phoenix international speedway they race them and man do they fly.
No new toys ! I got my hand full right now.
If there is another project to do down the road it will be another airplane to build.

Bill, http://www.tiger-sportscars.demon.co.uk/frames.htm have been successfully using a transfer box that incorporates a reverse gear for single and TWIN bike engined road cars.

I believe Quaife also has this product but like everything else that Quaife does, it costs big bucks!!!!!

I am not sure about this particular model, but some of the large touring bikes are now coming with a reverse gear. - Lynn
