Tony,

Thanks!

956/962's give me goose bumps! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The 917 is a hellishly fast, evil looking brute, while the 956/962, is a sleek, sexy, lightning quick thoroughbred.
My two dream cars since my young days, after a GT40, of course! Now, if I could only win the lottery......! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Mark,

The 962 was somewhere around 1000 kilos.

The more powerful ones typically had a 730HP, twin turbo six.

That's a mess of power in a lightweight package!

One of these is coming up for auction at Christies Paris sale on the 12 Feb. Estimate 800.000 to 1.200.000 Euros. Not much time to save up. Regards

Norman,

I haven't looked recently, but roughly 12 months ago, there

were a couple of 962s for sale in the States in the $175-

$275K range. At those prices, I assume they had no

significant race history(podium finishes).

What's Christie's commission anyway? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Streetable (at least in Germany) Dauer 962LMs are only a

million or so. What a grocery getter that would make! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
