FS USA Porsche G50 Transaxle Throwout Bearing

Porsche Clutch throwout bearing for G50 transaxle. This is the new 32mm size. Porsche part number 950.116.080.08. Unused. Includes a flywheel needle bearing insert for a Chevrolet small block or KEP flywheel. $200 + shipping.

I'll throw in a replaced (junk) G50 clutch release shaft and paperwork showing what the replacement entailed. The original needle bearing design violates the basic engineering principle of needle bearings- do NOT use them in a limited back & forth motion application. The needle bearings wear a dry track in their housing and then Brinnell and seize- a rookie mistake by Porsche. The "quick fix is to replace the shaft and needle bearings with plain bronze bushings.

The flywheel needle bearing works as it should since its rotation is only in one direction.

The flywheel needle bearing is noted to work properly, as it rotates in only one direction.

The solution involved replacing the original needle bearings with plain bronze bushings. Bronze bushings are more durable in this scenario because they can handle the back-and-forth motion better and are less prone to failure from wear or seizure, unlike needle bearings in such a confined application.
 
Follow-up question if I may; On using a G50 transaxle with a small block... Ford 302 in my case, is the use of a spacer plate necessary since I'll obviously be using the necessary adapter plate with my application?
Also have a question about my Kennedy KEP pressure plate to crankshaft mounting. I have the pressure plate/flywheel and clutch disc pack, etc. but the pressure plate bolts seem to need to be fairly long at 1.5" (7/16-20 x 1.5). The supplied bolts are only about .75 long... Are longer bolts everyone else's experience? Thanks, and please comment if this post is better suited elsewhere :)
