Recommend a silicon

R & R my aluminum intake manifold to Dart aluminum block. What silicon would be recommended for the 'valley' seal.

I do not use the cork or rubber gasket supplied with the usual intake gasket kit. A fair amount of space exist between the intake manifold and the 'rail' in the valley where the manifold rest top of. A thick bead of silicon works fine if done right. Problem is I used a Permetex grey that did not cure all the way through. I am looking for a brand that will.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Make sure all surfaces are very clean (I use Acetone or Lacquer thinner) - run your bead of Right-Stuff on the rails of the block front and back, lower the intake straight down and install the bolts.
If you allow The Right Stuff a chance to cure (8 hours) before you put it to work and you'll never have a leak... I've run engines as soon as 30 minutes after assembly with TRS and still didn't have a leak, but to play it on the safe side, let it (or any) sealant cure before asking it to perform...

Sure enough, it was a great recommendation. The 'cheese whiz' can is a great applicator as well.

Thanks guys. It now becomes permanent use item.
