It has been a busy week. We spent a full day monday on wheel alignment. Bled brakes on Tuesday evening and test drove for first time (very exciting). Near the end of test drive, clutch delivered all fluid to the ground. Pull out transaxle late tuesday night, found braided line to internal thrust bearing chewed by bolt head on rear of clutch pressure plate, finish at 1:30am. Reassemble on wed evening and test drive before getting to bed at 1:30am again. Leave Thursday evening for 3 hour drive to Winton (Race Circuit North Of Melbourne)Arrive at Motel 11:30pm.Wake Friday morning weather not looking good but off to circuit for test day.
REPORT
------
Had to remove RH sill to fit spring washer to gearshift pivot, (which had come loose) on thursday
On the 1st run the track was wet and had a couple of minor off's, however car handling well and as long as accelerator
pushed with great care.
The 2nd run similar to the first but had a nasty close call as I entered the straight and applied too much power and after an overcorrection I was heading towards the pit wall.Phew stopped in time and no damage.
The 3rd run and the rain really came down so I turned on the wiper only to see the blade disappear leaving the plastic holder gouging at the screen, I turned it off.
I kept going for a while but Came in as the rain got so heavy I couldn't see much at all.
This run ended my day as the rain had set in and we packed up and headed for home. This was a very confidence building day and the car performed extremely well although I will be increasing the size of the oil tank due to a small amount of surge.I will try to test the car agin before the race in July.
Regards Ross

Ross, It sounds like you have a pretty good first sort out day, congrats. A couple more and you will be ready to race hard. We just finished our American Iron Extreme Mustang. We are running tonight in a 3 hour race that we are using as a 3 hour test sesson. Keep us posted.
