Scale plastic model kits

Hello,

I've been looking through my local model shops and have come up with nothing that resembles a scale plastic kit of a GT40.

Does anyone know of a large scale plastic kit of a MK1 GT40? I'm looking for 1:24, or better still 1:12.

Any help would be most appreciated.

No large scale units available. Fujimi make several versions of the Mk I in 1/24. They do 3 versions of the Mk I (street, and two race) as well as the 68/69 Gulf cars. Check evilbay or do a google for Fujimi GT40. Also look into some of the photoetched detailing kits for the Fujimi cars.

even about this matter I am seriously thinking to convert the fujimi's back end into something much more similar to gtd ass or Cav one.
I already have a set of bbs wheels with 335 tyre for the rear, but comes so different from the original place in fujimi kit,so all that area will be remoulded
It is maybe just my opinion but all the replica seems bigger (nicer 4 me) even in the ass and rear wheel area.
I was thinking to remould all the back end in vacuform to keep also lower the thickness of the plastic, and maybe choose a replica car to make in 1/24 scale.
