Special Tools

I would like to hear from some of the builders if any special tools are needed in the construction of these cars. I have built a few kit cars, but have never been involved with one that needs any thing out of the ordinary. With all the rivets used in the aplication of the alum panals, would an air powered rivet tool be in order for an example?
thanks VIC

I just bought one and its an absolute must have tool,I paid $70 for it.Another thing is a small hand operated Whitney punch for putting all the rivet holes in the panels prior to mounting, save a ton of time and there is no drilling and creasing of the panels.I got my punch from Harbor freight for about $30 another bargain compared with the amount of hassle it saves

You will more than likely need a press brake to bend all those panels. they will come cut out but not bent due to space constraints. There are several sources:
1. Auctions. The Atlanta papers have an Auction Block section where all the businesses that go under are posted. If you know what you are doing you can pick one up for 300-600$ Be careful of Saturday auctions. The prices are higher than those during the week. People don't know their prices and "just want it".
2. Northern Handyman. I have seen a new one there for around 300-400$.
3. Build one yourself. That's what I'm doing. I plan to modify the original idea of one of our members from an old post. It needs a 3 legged A brace to keep it from bending as the bend is made. If you have ever put up angle aluminum in a drop ceiling, you know what I mean about it bending. Check out the old post. If this doesn't come through, search for "tools" and look at the post on "panels" I think http://www.gt40s.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000121
