I’ve been lurking a long time on the forum my car is finally in its final inspection in South Africa. I wasn’t sure what color to go with debated about black number 2 p1046 but knowing it’s the most common i went for something completely different. Ordered car from Dan at downforce motorsports and I’m having Olthoff racing and prestige motors which are near me build the engine and do installation. Left roundels off, but am debating about vinyl black with silver numbers or stay clean. Now just gotta wait for cargo ship to get it here!

Congratulations, Chris. I like the color combination, and am glad to see your car will be arriving soon. Not sure where you're located, but I'm just south of Charlotte. Would be good to connect locally sometime. Doug and his team at Prestige built my engine about two years ago. You've made good choice going with them since I know you'll like their work. I've also used Dennis' shop as well as Holman Moody in the past for various upgrades to my car. Lots of good resources in the Charlotte area.

I’m in mooresville so close to prestige and only 15min from Olthoff. So have regional edge for modifications and maintenance they have some cool stuff in their shop had a real Lola t70 in there, couple gt40’s and a new Superformance grand sport last time I went. Now just the long wait to make it drivable I figure about 5months from now to ship and dial it in. It would be cool if I could find some original gt40 parts from Holman Moody for essence sake. I have 3 days to decide if I want to go 427 carburated or fuel injected 8 stack almost doubles engine price but it looks amazing. Once it’s built it would be cool to meet up

I’m going with a Mendeola transaxle ordered through Dan at downforce motorsports he has one in his gt40 and says it shifts a little smoother olthoff has some RBT’s but they are allotted to other cars

I've got a GT40 in queue (for a little over a year now) and am curious as to when you placed your order. That will give me a better sense of wait time. The factory hasn't been able to come back to my dealer with any info, and, I'm not the kind of guy to bug them.
I too have Oltfhoff lined up, and my Prestige built motor has been over there a while.

Hey Mike I ordered it last august from downforce motorsports and Superformance had it built by May, it’s body is now here as of august, but I’m hung up with getting a transaxle even though that was the first thing I ordered so it’s going to be a few months before olthoff gets it. Once it gets on the assembly line they build them pretty quick about a month once they pick up your number . Your dealer should be able to get you a build number mine was 2433 to see where you are in queue I think they are already in the 440’s
