Synthetic Gear Oil in a ZF

Has anyone used synthetic gear oil in a ZF? If so, how did it work?

No. Never needed to try as Butfoy (Roy and Lloyd) and McCall said don't. And every ZF owner that did told me it caused many more leaks. All pain, no gain. 30 years of happy motoring using conventional gear lube.
