ZF and Safir clutch questions

I’ve searched around but cant seem to find a positive answer to two things:

1- with the ZF -2 flipped how do you know how much gear oil to put in it? Is it just a certain amount (2 qts for example)? Because now the side fill plug would be way to high on the transaxle to go by.

2- Anyone with the Safir clutch package. What is the fitting on the slave cylinder? I think it’s inverted flare but I cant get a good look at it to confirm. Would like to find a flexible hose to go from the end of the hard line on the RCR kit to the slave cylinder. The end of the rCR hard line looks like a female -3 fitting.

thanks everyone!!

1. Ron McCall says 3 quarts and let the little excess drip out. Using Penn Grade 80W90 for mine that Ron built.

2. Safir slave fitting is a 3AN female - bleed screw is same - then can be swapped side to side. Problem is the hole is very deep and normal 3AN fitting never bottoms out. Used a bulkhead fitting which is longer. You can look around for others but my guy had this so I went with it. Earls 983203ERL.

3. Flex lines are abundant. Used RedHorse Performance stainless coated 13” line with 90 degree end for the slave. Use RHP 3390-03-13. You can use any quality 3AN to 3AN line.

4. I have a SPF car. Hard line on chassis is 10mm - 1.0 bubble fitting. Remove the adapter and bleed screw and toss them. Use Earls 989534ERL adapter to 3AN.

I know Ron told me when I picked up the trans but couldn’t remember the amount. I know I had picked up 3 qts of Penn Grade which I always use anyway in other transmissions. So the 3 qts will level out or ooze out from the side plug? I was looking at it in the car the other day and thought the plug was very high now that it’s flipped. I messaged Ron but haven’t heard back from him yet. No rush, I got a long way to go.

Yeah the RCR hard line by the clutch slave has a female fitting that I guessed looked like a -3AN fitting. Hopefully someone else will chime in with an RCR.

While I’m in fittings does anyone use/have a master brake and AN and other speciality fittings checker/tester to ID these things? I have the thread checker for SAE and metric fittings but need to get one for everything else.
