Can you imagine the costs involved with owning one of these? Not only the cost to purchase, but, to operate? 'All the required on-going FAA licensing and inspection fees, insurance, maintenance, etc., etc.?

'Had to laugh at the fact that the imaginary owner of this imaginary creation had to drive to an airport of sorts to 'get airborne'!!! WHY???! The darned thing takes off vertically like a chopper! 'Seems to me all one would have to do is back the puppy out of the garage an' onto the street and just 'lift off' from right there!

(Ya, ya, ya. I know. Rules and regs. Public safety. Blah, blah, blah...)

I'm still holding out for the levitating car without wheels that was promised to be delivered upon the year 2000 by Popular Science Magazine back in 1965!!!

While the concept of a flying car is not new, no one has addressed what to do if involved in a minor fender bender.. IE - will a body shop be able to recertify it for flight again? What if I don't take it in to get it fixed professionally and I decide for myself that it is airworthy, etc. ?

Randy fender benders will be a thing of the past, all PFV's (private flying vehicles) will be controlled and separated by GPS and will basically be flown hands free once destination is programmed in.
