Did anybody know why they changed Chassis from 22 to 24 and maybe the reason of it. Was it an accident or was the 7-Lit.-engine to strong for the 22-Chassis?

Just something to note: 22 gauge steel is thicker than 24 gauge.

22 gauge = 0,644 mm
24 gauge = 0,511 mm

Sorry, this was a misunderstanding from my side - it has still the 22-chassis.

Got now whole information about this car from a GT40 historian.
