Chris, thanks for sharing. The 35kg could easily come from the wheels and tires and the repair body parts that are probably heavier than the original race body parts.

the car has had in goodwood 910 kg now. I think this will be correct according to the weight 68 in Lemans of 900kg with fitted the alloy head guerney eagle heads. So this could be around 10kg difference.

I saw your car at latest Spa 6H and it is a real beauty.

While we were going thru our inventory of GT40 engine parts to source a correct FIA legal 65 spec race engine for a customer I found this set of original C6FE 289 competition heads that were apparently on GT40P/1079 at 1 time. These heads were fully ported on the exhaust side and redrilled to accept Gurney Weslake headers. These are very rare heads and the best possible cylinder head for FIA racing in Europe. These should be re-united with the car they were raced on.
