Night at the Museum

My daughter got a copy of the DVD for Xmas

Near the end of the film she shouted out "It's a GT40" - that got my attention!

Sure enough there is a Gulf Coloured GT40 in it- first bit looks like an RC car but then in a close up 2 people are inside it and waving out

Anyone know who's car was used for the shoot?

I also saw the Pierce Brosnan James Bond movie "Die Another Day" over the Holiday weekend, and in the opening scenes there is a high muckity-muck North Korean war monger with his collection of exotics. Along with a number of Ferrari's there was a Gulf-colored GT40 displayed. Didn't look like the Ford GT.
I saw "Night at the Museum" and can't recall the scene you are talking about.

Hi Mike,
I think you will find that is an MDA.
I remember seeing a reference to that on the MDA website some time ago.

In the scene Ian mentioned, they were supposedly driving a "toy" GT40 (probably the RC Ian mentioned) during the breakout from the museum, IIRC close to the end, perhaps as they were headed back to the museum....it was most assuredly in Gulf livery. The close-up wouldn't have been hard to "fake". Haven't seen the Bond movie yet.
