    CANAMSA - SA stratch build

Hi All As is obvious I havent been posting many pictures, let me try and remedy that by showing some details of things that took up so much time. Steering column and pedal box. One of the challenges on a scratch build mid-engine chassis is packaging the pedals, steering column and rack, front...

CAV GT40 trailer tie down in the front

I've see some cars secured by straps looped over the tires. Depends if the deck has suitable cross braces or brackets to allow that. It needs a point directly in front of and behind the tire, and a third to hook the strap end to so you can pull the strap ratchet buckle tight.

Lola T70 Spyder Mk I replica comfort

Depends on the wife. I know ladies who are very happy in an open minimalistic sports car, but others who would never be happy to have their hairstyle deranged. Is she happy on a motorcycle with a helmet on? Might work for her. Some other forums would ask for picture of wife to asses:)

    CANAMSA - SA stratch build

Finally a mention of some progress. Eventually I can unscrew the 99 percent finished tacked up space frame from the build table and weigh it. Very roughly (on bathroom scales) it weighs 110 kg / 243 lbs. without the roll bar and 123 kg / 271 lbs. with. That includes all mounting brackets for...

    Front spring rating help needed.

""preload my 220lbs spring for 2", will that make it a 440 or a 660lbs."". Preloading the spring will not change the spring rate, only the ride height. if you want a different spring rate you need to get different springs. Regards Fred

Hi Peter Thanks for your post, and the kind compliments. Your car looks fabulous, the stance in the picture looks spot on. I have been making progress on my project, the space frame is almost ready for final welding, roll bar is made and I have solved lots of problems like mounting the pedal...
