18 years ago there was a question asked on what to do with the large gap between the top of the Radiator and underside of front nose clamshell? Not any good answers so time to revisit. Did original cars have the same void and what does their fix look like?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks. I guess I was looking specifically as in that back in the day I've seen race cars were just shot with lacquer and left alone (Grand Sports) others were just sprayed then polished, while others were sprayed, sanded....then polished.
Cheers
Hi
There is a lot of info on exterior paint codes and if it was lacquer. But my question is on the originals at the time they were painted in the mid 60's, was it shot and left alone or was it color sanded or simply buffed out and was it just one heavy coat?
Thanks guys
Hi
Looking for images of the two panels forward of the front wheels and behind the headlights, specifically for a mk2 (if its different from mki) Photos of the panels are rare and some have bump to clear headlight connector.
Cheers
Hi
Not finding any instructions on how to bond the aluminum panels into the the rear clamshell that are the inner Wheelwell splash panels. Kit came with two large panels and two bent supports.
Thanks in advance
The panel on the rear clam shell that is between engine and the rear glass typically covered on the bottom by heat shield BUT on the top side there is not a lot of vintage photos showing if it is simply painted a flat black etc.
Thanks guys in advance
Original image shows added door guard that can't be described as eyebrows but surely something holman/moody added to the car. Any thoughts why, what it's made of and was it unique to that car and that race?
Thanks guys
