The panel on the rear clam shell that is between engine and the rear glass typically covered on the bottom by heat shield BUT on the top side there is not a lot of vintage photos showing if it is simply painted a flat black etc.

Just had a quick look at some 1960's pictures (mostly black & white, and poor quality......)
Some colour ones though.
The original Mark 1 FAV race cars used body colour (white) or matt black.
The Mark 2's I've found so far, like Claude's car above, seem to be matt black.
Just doing some research and wondering whether the historians can give me info on P1001? I know it was originally a Shelby blue/white car, got a DNF at the 66 Le Mans (car 60) driven by Jackie Iycx, then yellow at the 68 Spa driven by Andrew Cox, but can you help with more detail and photos...
