    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Luckily there's only a couple spots they will sit at on my section of I-10 in Louisiana that I know. Plus a crossover point where Border Patrol sits, seemingly 24/7

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Drove this morning, 43 degrees. Felt dang good to be back in the driver's seat, even with all the attention on I-10. One thing I failed to mention about the baffles I installed... The smell when running the car in the shop is WAY more potent (no cats) than before the baffles. My eyes will...

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Ever since COVID hit last spring, barely have driven the car other than starting it and around my neighborhood. Last weekend that shockingly changed when it ran out of gas idling in the shop. Filled up a 5gal gas can with 93, couple days later went to go fill the car up with gas and had a...

This is the money shot! I love this view, wish they'd made a template to cut out more decals.

Bumping your thread for more orange pics! And can't help but wonder if you'll ever do this color?

    Nose hinge

I have the prototype, HIGHLY recommend them. Couldn't imagine my car without it since it's hard to get my wife to help do stuff in the shop, lol.

    Converting RHD SLC to LHD

I've read the larger rotors are for the rear and smaller ones are for the fronts. Not sure where I read this, but think it may have been on here. My front calipers are very close to the spokes of the wheels, enough so I'm unsure if a CTS-V caliper would clear without spacers. On my car, I...

    Dan's Build

I'm unsure about the side vs just plain red, but need to see a side shot of the whole car from a distance... *hint*hint* :) I definitely dig the nose/stripe. Fits the look perfectly. Now I'm kinda wanting to break up all my gray paint now too, thanks Dan! :)

Extended: 35 1/2" Compressed: 28 5/8" Measures were center to center of the ball joints and while installed on the car. Hope it helps!

    Sl-C or a finished car?

I'm in a similar boat as Brian. I had intended on building mine, but a kid happened and sent it off. Almost 2yrs later since it was loaded up heading to CT and I still can say I have zero regrets with my decision. Just with 1 kid, I honestly don't know how long it would have taken me to...

    Taillight plug part number?

IMO, I'd replace the bulb socket with a 1157 (or 1156 if only reverse light) and solder wires together.

    Del's Build: SLC IR/8

Nothing new to report, but looks like CarWebGuru app is doing a big update. I use this app for the front end of my android screen in the car. Found it to be most useful and easy to operate while driving. Hopefully the new app is better than the old one.

Interest in 360 Camera with 7" display as an SLC Group Purchase?

Or the android screens is a good and cheap option if have inputs for multiple cameras. Some can DVR like a dash cam as well.

    Converting RHD SLC to LHD

Flip the bolts 180 for the front upper control arms now so if have to ever remove them again, it'll be easier. Ask me how I know (and still need to do), lol.

    CamT's build thread

Been waiting on you to do it orange, finally! Orange is still my favorite color on an SLC, hands down. I recently sprayed a motorcyle parts with partly used gallon of 5yr old dip, no issues either. I hadn't dipped in 2.5yrs and my TopCoat skills are most definitely lacking. I'd be tempted to...

    Bob's EV SLC Build Log

Not much help, but in AutoCAD there's a command called OVERKILL. It'll remove all duplicate lines, since Fusion is an Autodesk product maybe a similar command exists...
