Full CAD Model- 5.0 Coyote Engine

Darrin, I asked the same thing before I purchased my crate, and they answered the same way and were incredibly helpful. Keep in mind, this was back when the 2015 engine changes had not even been officially announced yet!

FS USA 2000 Chevy C5 Corvette Suspension with wheels

Just an FYI if you don't see much activity...... full C5 rear suspensions, WITH differentials, go for anywhere from $700-1200 on Ebay. I paid around $1000 for mine 4 years ago, when these donor cars were newer and parts were not as plentiful. You might get more money out of them if you sell the...

    A&E Automotive

If it is at all possible, call frequently (I was calling almost every day in the end) or have someone in the US call for you and ask the status of your parts. It seems the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

    A&E Automotive

Mish, I had to chase Eric via email and phone for about 2 months early this year after I ordered an adapter plate, sent him a check, and things went to radio silence. When it finally came in 4 months after he cashed the check, I had to send it right back for repairs due to shipping damage. He...

Tornado Sports Cars- Something to Think About

If you don't want to sell manuals, if you get the windshield in a bag from the supplier, if you instructed Scott not to show anyone his chassis... why not give me these responses when the issues came up? Why give your customer a different answer every time he talks to you? Why defend the foam...

Full CAD Model- 5.0 Coyote Engine

Glad you can use it! Ford Racing is awesome. I called, explained what I needed, and got sent that engine mount layout PDF that Darrin posted. I called back, asked for an actual CAD model, explained the project (which I'm sure was quite a hook and helped), and was sent a link to the download off...

Tornado Sports Cars- Something to Think About

I wrote the text of this post three months ago, saved it, and didn't look at it or this forum again until today. I wanted some time to cool off and to see if I still felt the same way when I returned. After all, this post is going in the same section as pages of transaxle and part scam threads...

Pulled apart my fuel tank and...WOW

Just to clarify some things- I did not purchase the tanks. I purchased the entire kit once removed from the widow of the guy who bought it in 2001 and died before doing much work to it. So the tanks are circa 2001. The fact that I did not pay for the tanks and have them shipped over, plus...

Pulled apart my fuel tank and...WOW

These tanks are from 2001, so yes, a good deal older. Foam can be had to fill the tanks in solid pieces for under $40 a side. I'll be pulling both sides apart now and replacing this stuff. Andy, you should update the website with that detail.

Pulled apart my fuel tank and...WOW

Not 200 dollars...200 pounds sterling. Much more than 200 dollars. And what happens when the end cap pieces pop out and unleash a torrent of crap through the rest of the gas tank? The foam 'caps' only extend about 75% of the tank length, so once they pop free this baffling becomes soup I...

Pulled apart my fuel tank and...WOW

I recently cut one of my Tornado fuel tanks apart to partition it for an EFI pump in the rear, among other things. These are the 'nice' foam-filled tanks, which are £795 from Tornado instead of £595 for the regular baffled ones. When I went to pull out the foam, I discovered that the nice foam...

    Used 930 Transaxle Purchase

Thanks Terry. I got a quote for the rebuild from a local shop that lines up with your number. The seller has now seen what rebuilt ones go for on Ebay buy it now and has stars in his eyes...I think I lost this one.

    Coyote intake 180 turn

I do not have the headers built yet- I plan to make my own set. For reference, Jason's RCR40 build has separate headers with an H-pipe, which supposedly makes more power. A good custom shop will be able to build you a set of headers if you give them the car and some time. Dennis Quella is going...

    Used 930 Transaxle Purchase

Thanks Bill, that is helpful. I already have an 01E and am debating on whether or not to pursue this, as I would likely sell it outright and keep the other package parts. The price is right on the edge of being worth the risk....

    Porsche 930 Tranaxle For Sale

Thanks Tom. It was the smaller weld in the second picture I noticed. It appeared to be a snapped fin that was welded recently.

    Coyote intake 180 turn

Hugh, it is VERY simple and you will immediately see what needs to be done. -There is a locating pin that needs to be ground off that helped locate the intake over the runners (not necessary if you very carefully line up the bolt holes and then snug one down so the intake doesn't shift...

    Used 930 Transaxle Purchase

I have the opportunity to possibly purchase an unflipped 930 transaxle with LSD along with a cable shift, small block chevy adapter, and some other odds and ends for a reasonable price. I know very little about this type of transaxle, and it would be about a third of the value of this parts...

Old Tornado- Bringing Back to Life

As it's an aluminum engine that is currently pristine, and the garage has big humility swings, I'd rather not move it in until I have to. I have to shut off power to the garage when I'm not in there, so no dehumidifier :(

Old Tornado- Bringing Back to Life

Bob, you're a little ahead of me already.... ;) Simon, I don't think I could beat out the prices of someone like Tornado that just has the door handles cast. Plus I still have to make the actual housing bit. David, firstly thanks for your compliments and hope to see your build soon! I...
