slc air filter assembly race tail

I looked around at other builds to see how everyone was handling the race tail lack of room for the air filter assembly. I then looked at gm's requirements for my ls 376, 10'' from the throttle body for the maf and mounted in a straight 6'' run of 4'' tubing and realized it was a pain in the...

    I need a transaxle

I see peter has not posted in a while. I know he has found a z/f for his car and that it is being re-built........................m

    Heat shielding

I got my firewall heat shield done, then built removable panels with shielding on them on either side of the engine. The right side pad is done but is waiting final trimming due to cooler lines and shifter cables.

    slc rear sway bar

It took a little bit but here is what I came up with for the rear sway bar. I started with the lightest bar 155lb and should have great adjustability I have used this set up before and have had great success with it. I am running the grazziano so with additional bracing things are tight but it...

    Aluminium seat frames

RCR made some that where hinged so you could tilt it forward and gain access behind the seat.

    slc oil coolers

I realize after running my gt-40's that heat in the ass end is a problem. I saw that RCR offered some louvers that take up part of the rear glass or lexan on the clam shell on the left and right sides, narrowing the rear glass. they are louvers and looked pretty good. I imagine they let out a...

    slc rear scoop

Trying to figure out where to pull cold air from on the back has been a challenge the only solution after looking at it for a long time was to install a scoop and I will build a cold air box. I went through my molds and decided that my boss 429 mustang hood scoop mold looked the best [at least...

    slc oil coolers

Thanks Howard and thanks for the video of your car tracked at COTA. It is my understanding that the grazzianos have some sort of internal pump in them hence the fittings or plugs that came in it for circulating the oil. It was either loop it on the transaxle or send the lines to the cooler and...

    slc oil coolers

I used the same coolers as use on my 427 cobras. Thanks to a cue from Cam for 27 dollars I got shields from ebay for the grazziano, blasted them and they are like new. I am waiting on a 120 degree fitting for the transaxle cooler.

    SLC fuel system

We are north of pikes peak and I know lots of people that do run it Frank. They seem to all say the same thing you are down there for a whole week you only run the whole course on race day, practice is broken up to three separate days with three separate sections and they say plan on 10.k to run...

    SLC fuel system

I would love that! Have looked at it several times. I have also been invited too run pikes peak hill climb but haven't [yet] been able to pull that one off.........................m

    SLC fuel system

I have mounted a lot of electric pumps in the best location possible and most of the times they seem to end up higher then the lowest point in the tank. The only times I have had a problem is when I am on the track and not kept enough fuel in the tank for that last hard session, these were all...

    SLC fuel system

Dusty I understand the idea behind this fuel system design and it does make since to me but I have wondered if it is completely necessary. In all of my race cars I run single electric fuel pumps, they are all carbureted and I have never had any issues with any of them while racing or playing at...

    SLC fuel system

Thanks Cam. I agree on the head pressure for the pumps and I realize these are pushing pumps [electric] not the old style mechanical pull style pump, as usual when I set these up it difficult to get the pumps as close to, and below the tank level for best performance my intent is to always try...

    SLC fuel system

Thanks Scott. The one picture I took from the cockpit towards the engine compartment. I do have an access panel so I can get right to the pumps from the inside of the car. I do not have one of the later interior tubs that rcr offered so I at least don't have to worry about access problems with...

    SLC fuel system

This is what we came up with on the fuel system. I think it is typical for the LS set up although I think I lost my mind when I emptied my Bin of 90 % of its AN fittings to do an all braided system. I have done it this way for r&r of any of the components. I tried to keep things accessible. I...

    Dash and interior

Thanks Joel! we do all have our own concepts and ideas that's what I like about car building. Chris as far as the forward bracing bar for the cage not that I have ever seen. I was in the fire service for 35 years before I recently retired. I did a lot of apparatus design and specifications for...
