I'm gonna spray the insides of the doors & clips now before I start clipping cables & stuff to it so I don't have to strip too much later. Any particular paint I need to get or prep I need to do to get the paint to adhere? Just going for matt black. Jay

Anyone have any idea (UK or US) where I could get the fasteners (3mm csk) in black rather than the natural nylon colour? They must do them as I've used them on other things, just can't foind them for sale anywhere. I know I'm being picky but I want everything to be perfect lol.

Knocked this .xls up to help me layout my wiring, thought some people may find it handy when wiring their RCR. I moved a few engine ones to the rear before I started so it'll not be exactly as it comes out of the box.

Found Classic Instruments ones with built in pick up tube, same resistance range. https://www.classicinstruments.com/productother.aspx?ProductCode=SN33 Would make things a bit easier, less holes to drill. Any reason why these can't be used?

I notice that the brake/clutch lines need to be fastened every 300mm to pass the SVA in the UK, any ideas how to fasten the sections running through the central tunnel?

As you can see it varies massively from side to side, if I pull down the pass side it'll pull out at the front & there'll be a lot of tension on it. Seems like it came out of the mould warped. Jay

Now that I've stripped my RCR chassis I think it's gonna be a pain to get it transported to the powdercoaters due to the size of it so I'm looking at alternative coatings I can spray on at home. Anyone got any ideas what I can use? Looking for something with a smooth, matt black finish ideally...

Thought now I have it I'd better start a build thread. Progress seems to have taken a step backwards already, started off with a rolling chassis, now I'm left with this. Hopefully I can sort out powdercoating asap so I can start putting it back together again. Jay

Decided it'll be worthwhile ordering one of these befeore my car gets shipped. Especially after browsing through the other fire suppression thread, don't want anything like that happening to my lovely RCR. Will be a lot cheaper than ordering it in the UK too. What systems are everyone here...

Been ringing round a few kit car insurance companies, but quite a few of them won't insure kit cars over £30k, which is useless to me if I build a new kit. Who else are you guys using? Jay
